Map for Häme Medieval Festival

A festival map for Häme Medieval festival 2021. The map is drawn by hand but compiled digitally; the castle and the empty park are drawn as a one map, and all the tents, stands, trees, label banners and other elements are drawn as separate icons. The map can be modified easily every year and the updated versions have been used in the festivals of 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Event information and some elements (big rider and compass rose) are added by the organizer. Link to festival website.

Map of Meilaakso

Map drawn for the book “Toven ja Marian Meilahti” by Heikki Niemeläinen. The map shows the Meilahti area in Helsinki in the 1940’s. The style and contents of the map is a tribute to the art of Tove Jansson, and includes quotes from Jansson’s book “Finn Family Moomintroll” (Trollkarlens hatt) from 1948. Commissioned work, 2024.
